BIOGRAPHIES

G.T. NUNN (Read My Entries)
I am a native New Mexican who has a great knowledge of the entire state. Having grown up hunting throughout the mountains of the state, I am famaliar with all the areas, animals available and other important factors. I am also owner and operator of Frontier Outfitting. While guiding my clients on big game hunts, I spend most of my time in rural areas of the state. I really enjoy showing ranches and farms or helping someone find their dream home. My knowledge of farming, ranching and hunting has proven to be an invaluable part of the OEI team. Call me at (505)350-9775, or e-mail at gtnunn@oeiproperties.com.

Byers was Hunting Editor for Heartland USA for 10 years until its recent discontinuation, is currently Field Editor for Whitetails Unlimited, and Long Gun Editor for On-Target Magazine. STEVE BIERLE (Read My Entries)
Steve Bierle is a native South Dakotan who has spent his entire life enjoying the outdoors. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and conservationist with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. He met his wife Sandy while in Graduate School at the University of Montana and they are busy raising three boys on their acreage near Sioux Falls, South Dakota

From the beginning, Steve’s interests have involved helping private landowners create and manage wildlife habitat on their lands. Several years ago, he created Professional Habitat Development, a successful habitat consultation and development business that allowed him to do just that. After planting over half a million trees and seeding 10,000+ acres of native grass in every corner of South Dakota, he has become an expert at designing habitat and putting it on the ground using programs and practices that benefit the land and the bottom line.

Over time, there has been an increasing demand for his services by clients looking to buy recreational properties that will meet their specific objectives or to market the properties they have developed. It is exciting for Steve to be able to incorporate his invaluable experience as a wildlife consultant into his work as a recreational property specialist and realtor.

He offers buyers and sellers alike a rare perspective on how to recognize and capitalize on the hidden potential of a property.

MARK KAYSER (Read My Entries)
Mark Kayser has been photographing and writing about the outdoors since junior high with a career spanning more than two decades. Raised in the Great Plains of South Dakota, Mark’s appreciation for wildlife was spurred by his parent’s enjoyment of camping and his grandfather’s addiction to hunting. Together, the two created a thirst for Mark to be in the outdoors. His interest in art was transformed from pencil to camera and he’s been hooked on photography since. A B.S. in News Editorial Journalism from South Dakota State University helped him shape his career in outdoor communications.

Mark enjoys photographing outdoor participants as well as wildlife and scenery. His travels have spanned three continents and he’s been fortunate to photograph everything from Alaska moose in the Alaska Range to greater kudu in Namibia. His photography has earned him numerous honors including first place awards from the National Travel and Tourism Association, the Outdoor Writers Association of America and from the Association Great Lakes Outdoor Writers.

Mark is the whitetail columnist for North American Hunter, the backyard whitetail bowhunting columnist for Bowhunt America magazine and the Hunting West columnist for Cabela’s Outfitter Journal. Mark also shares his thoughts via blogs at outdoorlife.com and huntingclub.com.

His work has been published in nearly every major outdoor publication on the market today including Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, American Hunter, North American Hunter, Turkey Call, Turkey and Turkey Hunting, Free Hunters, Cabela’s Outfitter Journal, Sporting Classics, Shooting Sportsman, Bowhunter, Bowhunting World, Bowhunt America, Harris Publications, and Grand View Media titles. In addition, his photographs have been on the cover of six books, dozens of magazines and several video covers.

Together with outdoor photography and writing, Mark is an avid hunter with special interest in big game. He’s an accomplished bowhunter and firearm hunter for all species and has hunted white-tailed deer, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, black bear, moose, Dall’s sheep, wild turkey, red deer and a variety of African game. When not chasing big game, Mark goes afield in his backyard for upland game and waterfowl. Mark also guides hunters for big game and turkeys in the West as time allows.
